Hodges University continues to serve our existing students. Classes will begin Tuesday, September 5.
We will continue to enroll new non-degree-seeking students which includes:
* English as a Second Language (ESL)
* Emergency Medical Technician
* Foundations of Dental Assisting
* Corporate Trainings
All Alumni Degrees issued by Hodges University or International College since June 1997 were conferred in good standing with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools: Commission on Colleges. Degrees conferred under the International College name prior to June 1997 were recognized by the Accrediting Commission of the Association of Independent Colleges and Schools. The closure does not affect your degree. Plans for a permanent custodian of our academic records are underway, and updates will be posted on the website and social media.
We regret to inform you that after careful consideration, Hodges University has made the difficult decision to not enroll any degree-seeking students for September, 2023 and are taking the necessary steps to cease operations of the majority of our degree offerings at the end of April, 2024, with limited classes offered through August, 2024. Unfortunately, due to financial challenges and declining enrollment numbers, we can no longer provide the quality educational programs that we have provided over the past 33 years. We understand that this news may come as a shock, but we want you to know that our top priority is to ensure that your educational journey continues smoothly, and we are here to help you find another school to finish your degree if you will not be able to complete it before we close.
We have already begun reaching out to other institutions to explore transfer options for each of our students, that will not be able to finish their degree at Hodges prior to our closing. Your faculty advisor is already working to establish partnerships with these institutions to enable you to easily transfer, if you will not be able to finish your coursework before we close. We understand that transferring credits and adapting to a new environment can be challenging, and we are committed to minimizing any disruptions to your education.
Throughout this transition period, your advisor or a member of the planning team will be in continual contact with you to explain and support you through the steps that you need to take. We encourage you to reach out to your faculty advisor with any questions. You may also reach out to the planning team at 239-598-6103 or at myplan@achador.net Our planning team includes members of the Registrar’s office and your faculty advisor who will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have and guide you through the transfer process. We will also provide resources and assistance in accessing financial aid, scholarships, or any other forms of financial support that may be required to assist you in your transfer.
We value your education and are fully invested in helping you achieve your academic goals. Our priority remains your success, and we are committed to providing you with the necessary resources and support to ensure continuity in your educational journey.
We will continue to update you regularly via email and our website. Please make sure to check your inbox and our website for the latest updates.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience this situation may cause and want to assure you that we are here for you every step of the way. We are confident that with our collective efforts, we will find the best solutions for each and every one of you.
Sincerely,
Charlene Wendel
President
